SECONDMENT OF INTERNS FOR PRACTICAL TRAINING
The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure wishes to place interns with the tendering service providers who is desirous to provide the necessary training and mentorship to enable the Intern(s) to meet institutional requirements of their academic qualifications or registration with the relevant professional councils.
PROFTEAM declare to accept unregistered suitably qualified persons in the built environment in our office for the purpose of exposing the latter to the full extent of professional work in order to gain experience which can be presented to the relevant Council for consideration towards professional registration.
The company’s approach is to train and empower people as a long term and sustainable solution. PROFTEAM has numerous Interns that were supported by the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure to gain suitable built environment qualifications on secondment internment.
SKILLS TRANSFER
Part of PROFTEAM’s values is to train, transfer skills and empower people as a long term and sustainable solution. We aim to depart skills, knowledge, and expertise to our clients.
The transfer of skills may be enhanced by means of any of the following, or a combination thereof:
- Mentorship,
- On-the-job training,
- Other appropriate tools.
We start the Skills Transfer phase at the beginning of the project rather than at the end of the project. From day one our clients gain business and personal value from our open approach to share knowledge and information.
PROFTEAM support the Government’s Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) by ensuring that Contractors implement the programme where PROFTEAM is involved in. The programme made a positive change in many people’s lives.
